The little things

When it comes to cleaning your home and getting ready for winter sometimes it is the little things that matter. Doing some quick simple things that can potentially save you a lot in the long run.

Regularly checking and replacing the filters in your heating and air conditioning units is relatively inexpensive and easy to do, but it can make your heating and air condition units operate more efficiently and last longer.  

Another little thing that is quite important is cleaning the lint out of your dryer and dryer vents. Over time this lint builds up and can be a  fire hazard in addition to reducing the effectiveness of your dryer.

Both of these things can be done easily and neither of them takes an inordinate amount of time. Both of these things can and will make things in your home work more efficiently, last longer and reduce fire hazard in your home.
